This week the social networking site Tumblr announced it was banning adult content. The adult content ban also extends to images of “real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples.”The Tumblr policy appears to have been sparked by child pornography being found on the site. Tumblr’s new policy is also the latest installment in a ridiculous war against women’s nipples. Women’s top halves have long been sexualized and policed in a way that men’s aren’t, both online and offline.
